The Place

The Dreamcatcher Bed and Breakfast began as a family home in the 1940s. After a growing family added on to the original building, new owners in the 1980s turned it into a Bed and Breakfast. For the first eight years, the B&B ran under the name The Ruby Slipper. Two casitas were added in the 1990s, expanding the facility to 7 guest rooms. Then 13 years ago, the place was transformed into the Dreamcatcher Bed & Breakfast.

Dreamcatcher B&B is the perfect Taos bed and breakfast to designate as your starting point to all of what Taos and northern New Mexico have to offer.

Taos Year-round

People come here to relax and enjoy the southwest’s grandeur. This is one of the unspoiled and un-crowded areas in the States. Spring, Summer and Fall offer exciting outdoor activities - river rafting in the spectacular Rio Grande Gorge, numerous hiking trails both in the gorge and in Kit Carson National Forest along with plenty of places to explore on your bike. Experience a horseback ride on ancient Taos Pueblo land, marvel at the scenery on the historic Cumbres & Toltec railroad or visit the Earthships, homes made entirely of recycled materials.

As always, there are great art galleries including R.C. Gorman's Navajo Gallery a ten minute walk away, museums and an abundance of unique shops.

Winter time is pristine, not too cold but plenty of snow in the mountains and over 300 days of sun year round. In the wintertime, enjoy quick access to three great ski areas

Delight in downhill skiing –with no waiting lines- snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing or soaking in one of several natural hot springs including Ojo Caliente.
